　　据立思辰留学360介绍，美国大学法学院提供三种学位：JD，LLM，JSD。JD的全称为Juris Doctor。虽然是叫Doctor，但事实上在美国，因为本科是没有法学这个专业的，所以JD可谓为学士后法律学位，属于美国的First Law Degree，任何获得学士学位的本科生都可以申请JD，然而美国更希望自己的JD申请者，同时是在某个特殊领域有专业背景的人，从某种意义上来说，非法学专业的本科毕业生申请JD更有优势。

　　LLM的全称为Master of Laws，即法律专业硕士学位，它是具有特定法律职业背景的专业性学位，申请人一般为本科法律系学生、法律硕士以及在职的法务人员，完全没有法学相关经历以及学术背景的申请者不能申请。

　　JSD的全称为Doctor of Juridical Science，它是真正意义上的法学博士，是法律专业的高级学位，一般来说，申请者必须有从事法学研究的职业目标，且必须有Master学位或是JD学位才能够申请。

　　美国法律专业就业前景

　　1、在企业事业单位从事党政管理、纪检监察、企业管理、合同管理、法律事务管理。

　　2、在立法机关、党政机关、社会团体从事党政管理、纪检监察、政策法规制定和实施管理、社会公共事务管理、行政执法等工作。

　　3、在公、检、法、司等司法机关从事治安管理、案件侦查、法律监督、审判、监狱管理等工作，担任审判人员、检察人员、人民警察等。

　　4、在律师事务所、公证处、仲裁机构和其他法律服务机构从事法律服务工作，担任律师、公证员、仲裁员、企业事业法律顾问等。

　　5.在高校和科研机构从事法律教学与研究工作。
