申请说明

迈阿密大学历史学系（Department of History）开设的研究生学位有MA、PhD及MA/PhD。申请材料如下：

1)在线填写申请表： A completed application form

2) 奖学金申请表：A completed financial aid application, if seeking aid

3) 3封推荐信：Three letters of recommendation, preferably from applicant’s former professors

4)GRE成绩： Recent Graduate Record Examination scores on the General Test

5) 语言成绩：TOEFL scores (for international students)

6) 官方正式成绩单：Official transcripts

7) 个人陈述：A detailed statement from the student indicating:

(a) the student’s background and education;

(b) the student’s interests (field, topic, etc.);

(c) why the student wants to pursue a graduate degree in history at the

University of Miami;

(d) what the student plans to do with the degree upon completion. This statement constitutes a very important part of the application review process and should indicate the student’s understanding of the professional nature of the training that the student is about to begin.

8) 写作样本：要求至少20页。
