美国贝勒大学之院校介绍

　　贝勒大学（Baylor University）成立于1845年，位于美国德克萨斯州的小城韦科，是一所中等大小私立综合性大学，同时也是全世界最大的浸信会大学。1000多英亩的校园全部位于布拉索斯河畔。

贝勒大学有四个最显著印记：白人、富裕、浸信会、德州人。这里的学生80%来自德州，他们大部分来自中等及中上白人家庭，属于浸信会教徒。浸信会教义禁止学生饮酒、赌博、跳舞和男女同居。一言以蔽之，这是一所连衣着也十分保守的基督教大学，其他可想而知。不过近年来，在这方面的限制有显著地改善。

申请点评

贝勒大学最好的学科是法律，医科预备科、商科（尤其是会计和小型企业）和音乐，其他不错的学科有物理和宗教。

保守是校园的传统也是特色，有利也有弊。对国际学生而言，申请审核非常严格，有点得不偿失，建议不想聆听教会谆谆教诲的学生不要申请。

I've only been at Baylor University for one semester, but I love it. I'm working on majoring in Computer Science (concentration on gaming) and minoring in Film and Digital Media. It's not a school for everyone, however, as a majority of people here are conservative Christians (which isn't a bad thing, but might "offend" some people). If you don't like to drink or party, but would rather hang out and have fun with friends and find random things to do, then you will be very likely to enjoy your time here. The surrounding city isn't very nice, but a lot of people rarely even leave campus since basically everything you need is here. The campus is nice, the students are friendly, and the faculty are helpful and most actually do care about you doing well. Once again though, if you are liberal, like to party, or aren't comfortable being around Christians (and/or conservatives), then this probably isn't the school for you. If you are Christian, conservative, and/or don't like to party, this is a school to seriously consider.

虽然在这里短短1个学期的时间，但我已爱上了这里。本人在校专业是计算机（游戏方向）辅修电影与数字媒体。贝勒大学是一所基督教大学，学校里有大部分都是保守的基督徒。因此，不是人人都能接收的了，有时候也许会被“侵犯”。如果你本身也信教，不喜欢喝酒也不喜欢party，闲来只是喜欢和好友随性消遣，这里无疑很适合你。但，如果你性格活泼开朗、喜欢party喝酒又不习惯太大多的基督徒围在你身边，那抱歉，这所学校显然不适合你。学校周边环境一般，但相信你在校内可以获得你想有的一切。校园很漂亮，同学和教师都很友好，也很乐于助人。——Carrie

农村，学校也不大。如果信排名，那baylor就没什么竞争力了，中国学生很少，冷门校。对于不牛的同学还是比较实惠的，都能拿个1w1的奖，只要你成绩差不多，这样学费就3w了。——Harry

贝勒大学是基督教大学，听说贝勒大学的人都比较乐于助人。baylor的会计蛮强的，本硕连读4年半就行了。上完就可以去考cpa，会计是它最好的一个专业了。——傻傻弟

贝勒大学2010届才来3个大陆学生，今年还算是扩招了。难度不小。baylor本来不欢迎国际生的，国内本科生一共十来号人吧，现在改变招生政策扩招，大概缺钱了——Harryzyy

2. The professors are down to earth and genuinely care

3. You can get the most of your education through smaller class sizes

4. The Student Life Center is amazing, and has everything a student could need to keep busy and entertained

5. Common Grounds brews some great coffee

6. All athletic events are free

7. Sing unites the campus and spreads cheer all around

8. Diadeloso gives a well-deserved break from classes

9. Even though the campus itself is dry, the off-campus parties keep the place jumping

10. The size of the community lets you know everyone

差评项：

1. Dealing with financial aid can be disastrous. Don't get stuck in the Tower!

2. The social scene can be a little too tight knit

3. Lack of political and ideological diversity

4. Some students are spoiled by their parents' wealth

5. There are too many girls looking for husbands instead of good times

6. It's expensive

7. Baylor's spring break doesn't coincide with most other Texas universities

8. The holiday system is totally screwy

9. Public transportation is scarce

10. Everyone knows you, or at least knows someone who knows you, and it can be hard to get away from that
